Why I started par 5 Pilates

At par 5 Pilates, we welcome golfers, non-golfers, and everyone in between.

While our name gives a little wink to golf, par 5 Pilates is for everyone.  I started par 5 because I wanted to blend two things I love: Pilates and golf.  I’m definitely better at Pilates than I am at golf! But I do know how Pilates can build strength, control, and flexibility that golfers need to play their best game. I can't fix your swing, but I can support your body so you can swing better, with less pain and more power.

  

In our normal day to day, we don’t pay attention to our posture — whether we’re driving, sitting at a desk, or constantly looking down at our phones. Pilates helps correct those habits and rebuilds strength from the inside out.  


 Now, I get to teach people from all walks of life - from office workers to new moms - and watching their transformations is what keeps me inspired. Golfers or not, everyone can benefit from moving better and feeling stronger.

  • Full-Body Reformer Classes
    Dynamic sessions using the reformer to target strength, flexibility, and control throughout the entire body. Suitable for most fitness levels.
     
  • Private & Semi-Private Sessions
    Get personalized attention in a one-on-one setting or bring a friend for a semi-private session. These are great for beginners, athletes, or anyone working with injuries.


  • Golf-Focused Pilates
    Tailored for golfers looking to improve mobility, core strength, balance, and rotational power—helping you generate a smoother, more powerful swing and reduce the risk of injury.


Most of our classes are 50 minutes long, but we also offer some shorter 40-minute classes and longer 90-minute classes for those who want a more intense workout.


 Not at all! Our sessions are designed for all experience levels, including complete beginners. Whether you're someone simply wanting to move better and feel stronger or a golfer looking to improve your swing, we’ll guide you through every step. You’ll receive personalized attention to ensure you feel confident, safe, and supported from your very first session. 


 No equipment needed! We provide all the necessary Pilates equipment, including reformers, mats, and props. Just wear comfortable clothing you can move in, and bring a water bottle. If you prefer to use your own mat, you’re welcome to bring it 


 Yes, in most cases. Pilates is known for being low-impact and highly adaptable, which makes it ideal for those recovering from injuries. If you’re dealing with a specific condition, we recommend starting with a private session, so we can tailor the exercises to your needs. Always consult your healthcare provider first, and let us know about any injuries before your session. 


 A private session is one-on-one, fully customized to your body, goals, and any limitations. It’s ideal for beginners, those with injuries, or anyone wanting focused attention.
A semi-private session includes 2-3 participants, and still offers personalized instruction, but in a small group setting. It’s a great option if you enjoy a bit of camaraderie while working out or want to share the experience with a friend. 


 Yes! We offer flexible options including single sessions, class packs, without a membership sign up fee, so you can choose what works best for your schedule and goals.
